Noted lyricist Javed Akhtar, moderating the discussion, highlighted the current disparity between South and Hindi films' box office performances. Aamir remarked that contemporary Hindi filmmakers might have strayed by targeting more refined themes, while South films stick to universal appeal with robust emotions like anger and love.

Aamir, who helms Aamir Khan Productions, observes that South cinema thrives in single-screen theaters, capturing the mass audience, whereas Bollywood tailors films for multiplex-goers. He anticipates working on 'Lahore 1947' with Javed Akhtar, featuring Sunny Deol.
