In a bid to foster communal harmony, the chief mufti of Aligarh, Khalid Hameed, has called on the Muslim community to embrace flexibility during the upcoming Holi festival, which coincides with Friday in the month of Ramzan.
Addressing the media on Monday, Mufti Hameed advised Muslims to steer clear of areas where colors are being distributed when attending Friday prayers. Additionally, he suggested the imams in mixed areas to postpone Friday prayers by an hour to prevent potential conflicts.
The mufti highlighted that with these minor adjustments, Muslims could play a pivotal role in ensuring a peaceful and cordial environment during Holi celebrations.
