Rajasthan's Opposition Questions Rs100 Crore IIFA Expense

Rajasthan's Leader of Opposition, Tikaram Jully, launched a scathing attack on the state government on Thursday for its lavish spending of over Rs100 crore on the IIFA 2025 celebrations in Jaipur. Jully questioned the actual benefits of the event to the state's tourism sector.

During a media interaction, Jully expressed dismay, stating, "More than Rs 100 crore of public funds were utilized for IIFA, with negligible promotion of Rajasthan." This criticism came despite Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister, Diya Kumari, praising the gala as a significant achievement for the state.

Jully further probed the event's utility, asking for transparency in expenditure details. He called upon the government to account for the money spent on the event, actors, and promotions, questioning the tangible benefits it brought to Rajasthan.
