New North Jetty: Boosting Naval Capacity at Kochi Port

Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi inaugurated the New North Jetty at the Kochi Naval Base, marking a significant milestone in naval infrastructure development.
The 300-meter long and 18-meter wide jetty is designed to berth various classes of naval ships, fulfilling enhanced berthing and support service requirements for ships and vessels at the Southern Naval Command.
Executed by the Cochin Port Authority and awarded to M/s AFCONS Infrastructure Ltd, the project showcases indigenous engineering excellence. It bolsters the Kochi naval port as a crucial logistical hub and enhances India's maritime capability with improved flexibility for naval operations and sustained security measures.
