Tiger Baby Records, a novel music label co-founded by celebrated filmmakers Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and musician Ankur Tewari, has announced its debut album, 'City Sessions'. This fresh venture, launched on Wednesday in collaboration with Island City Studios, aims to spotlight emerging musical talent.
'City Sessions' projects a unique initiative by hosting an immersive studio experience that is set to redefine how music is created and appreciated. Introduced at the Soho House in Mumbai, the album symbolizes the genesis of an artistic property Akhtar and Kagti have envisioned for years.
Consisting of six original tracks, 'City Sessions' includes contributions from artists Neel Adhikari, Slight Diversion, and Arijit Datta. The album, releasing May 9, is divided into Side A and Side B, capturing collective emotions and reflecting on modern societal struggles, set against the backdrop of an AI-influenced music industry.
