Under the quiet cover of darkness, the Mulund community came together to honor Shradha Dhavan, a cabin supervisor who perished in the ill-fated Air India flight, taking with her the dreams that will never be realized. Friends, family, and Air India officials gathered to support her grieving family as they prepared for a night cremation.
The atmosphere was filled with grief as Shradha's father, Madhav Dhavan, requested her coffin be taken to her flat, a symbol of her unfulfilled aspirations. Friends described the moment as heartbreaking, with her daughter's presence highlighting the profound loss of a mother also cherished as a friend.
After home rituals, Shradha's remains were moved to a crematorium, her brother Vivek placing a piece of sari and nameplate on her pyre. Friends and family, amidst tears, vowed to keep her spirit and memory alive, even as they grappled with the sudden severance of a treasured bond.
