In a significant move to enhance educational ties and democratic values, Prof C Raj Kumar, founding vice chancellor of O P Jindal Global University, is slated to address the Japanese Parliament, known as the Diet, on June 24. This visit seeks to bolster bilateral higher education relationships between India and Japan.
The university issued a statement highlighting this address as a reaffirmation of the democratic principles shared by both nations. It also marks a celebration of 'India at 75,' underscoring the nation's commitment to its founding principles. The dialogue will include Indian delegates' engagements with Japanese parliamentarians.
Additionally, a special address by senior Indian advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi will complement this event, focusing on Indo-Japan collaborations in democracy and innovation. The India-Japan Higher Education Forum 2025, featuring distinguished guests like Ambassador Sibi George and Singhvi, will accompany this diplomatic endeavor.
