Musician Mika Singh has stirred controversy by calling fellow artist Diljit Dosanjh a 'fake singer' and 'irresponsible' for working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. The contentious collaboration is part of Dosanjh's upcoming film 'Sardaar Ji 3'. Singh took to Instagram to express his dismay over the partnership, labeling Dosanjh's actions as 'irresponsible' given the sensitive relationship between India and Pakistan.
The note, titled 'Desh Pehle (Nation First)', emphasized the strained diplomatic ties and urged artists to reconsider engaging with talents 'from across the border'. Singh recalled the controversy surrounding 'Abir Gulaal', a film involving Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, which faced a ban in India post the Pahalgam terror attack.
Moreover, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has voiced strong opposition against the film, demanding punitive measures against Dosanjh's film team. They have cited Aamir's controversial actions against India to call for a ban, reflecting a broader backlash against the movie's cross-border casting choices.
