Amarnath Yatra: Preparations in Full Swing as Token Distribution Begins
Preparations for the Amarnath Yatra are underway with the opening of a token distribution center in Jammu. Enthusiastic pilgrims braved the rain to register for the pilgrimage starting July 3. Authorities conducted a convoy dry run along the Jammu-Srinagar highway to ensure smooth execution. Security and essential arrangements are in place.

The preparations for the annual Amarnath Yatra have gained momentum with the initiation of token distribution for offline registration in Jammu. Starting July 2, pilgrims will embark on a 38-day journey to the revered 3,880-meter-high holy cave shrine via two routes.
The token distribution center, set up at Saraswati Dham, witnessed a surge of devotees eager to secure their participation. On Tuesday, pilgrims can proceed with registrations at designated centers, including Vaishnavi Dham and Mahajan Sabha, which open at 7 am, as stated by Manu Hansa, sub-divisional magistrate, Jammu South.
With safety being a priority, a dry run of the convoy along the Jammu-Srinagar highway was successfully conducted. Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar confirmed meticulous preparations for a safe and secure pilgrimage, reinforced by a joint control room equipped to respond to emergencies.
