Amarnath Yatra 2023: A Spiritual Journey with Enhanced Security

The annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage, flagged off by LG Manoj Sinha, starts on July 3 with over 3,31,000 devotees registered. The 38-day spiritual journey to the shrine includes two routes and concludes on August 9. Security has been tightened, and traffic restrictions are in place along the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

The annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage, a revered spiritual journey for devotees, is set to commence on July 3, with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha officiating the flag-off. The 38-day pilgrimage to the high-altitude shrine involves traditional Nunwan-Pahalgam and the shorter, steeper Baltal routes.

Over 3,31,000 devotees have registered, with 4,000 on-the-spot registration tokens distributed in recent days. The pilgrimage, concluding on August 9, features stringent security measures and traffic restrictions along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.

Enhanced multi-layer security has been implemented at Jammu's Bhagwati Nagar base camp, with oversight by the J&K Police Security Wing and the CRPF. The administration remains focused on ensuring a safe and uninterrupted spiritual journey.
