Senior Superintendent of Police Harmandeep Singh Hans reported that the explosion occurred around 9 am, involving a cylinder being loaded onto a truck. The force of the blast shattered nearby windows and doors, leaving body parts scattered across the site. Debris even reached Kambala village, nearly a kilometer away.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed his condolences, stating teams were actively managing the situation. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation, with authorities examining potential negligence. The Punjab government pledges its support to the victims' families during this difficult time.
