In a significant move to showcase Odisha's cultural heritage, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced that the new Odisha Bhavan in New Delhi will embody the state's rich traditions. The redevelopment, located in Chanakyapuri, is set to reflect Odisha's renowned stonework and cultural vibrancy, as endorsed by Majhi during a review session with architects.

The seven-storied structure will include 45 suites across various categories and a conference hall, covering a total construction area of 4,761 square meters. Emphasizing the importance of accommodating cancer patients traveling to Mumbai for treatment, Majhi ordered the inclusion of additional rooms in the western city's guest house.

Further plans were discussed for establishing Odisha Bhavans in Ayodhya, Hyderabad, and Surat, along with renovations for Utkal Bhavan in Kolkata. These initiatives aim to support the state's people and promote Odisha's unique cultural and architectural legacy beyond its borders.
