In a commendable act of generosity, Bathula Laxma Reddy, a ruling Congress MLA, handed over a Rs two crore cheque to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The contribution is aimed at supporting pro-farmer initiatives in Reddy's Miryalguda constituency.
Initially, the funds were set aside for a grand reception celebrating the marriage of Laxma Reddy's son. However, the MLA decided to redirect the money towards aiding farmers, specifically ensuring one lakh farmers receive a free bag of urea each.
Joined by his family, including his son and new daughter-in-law, Laxma Reddy met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who lauded the family for their altruistic decision to forego personal celebrations in favor of community support.
