Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi made a discreet visit to Wayanad, Kerala, on Friday, aiming to participate in private engagements, as per reliable sources within the party.
The Gandhis touched down at Kozhikode airport around 10 am, followed by a helicopter ride to Padinjarathara. Their arrival at the Government High School site by 10:40 am was warmly greeted by key figures such as KPCC President Sunny Joseph and Wayanad District Congress Committee President ND Appachan.
Simultaneously, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra devoted her week-long constituency visit to significant cultural and agricultural engagements, including a temple visit and discussions with coffee farmers. Despite their presence, the Congress has not outlined any public events for the family during this trip.
