Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha is set to open the Diwali festival at Maa Tripura Sundari temple in Gomati district. This event, held at one of Hinduism's prominent 'shakti pithas,' promises an influx of attendees.
Dignitaries like MPs Biplab Kumar Deb, Kriti Devi Debbarma, and various ministers, including Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath, are scheduled to attend, as confirmed by MLA Abhishek Debroy, who heads the mela organizing committee.
In preparation, the Northeast Frontier Railway announced special train services for pilgrims. Security is a top priority with 37 CCTV cameras and 10 watch towers in place. Police, CRPF, and TSR forces will maintain order, alongside regular vehicle inspections and patrols.
