Dharamshala Film Fest Unveils Inspiring 14th Edition

The Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) is preparing to host its 14th edition from October 30 to November 2, as announced by organizers. The event will take place at the Tibetan Children’s Village in Upper Dharamshala.

As a leading platform for independent cinema in India, DIFF 2025 will feature Neeraj Ghaywan’s film 'Homebound', starring Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa, which will represent India at the Oscars 2026. The festival's lineup also includes global entries like 'Lesbian Space Princess' and 'The Wolves Always Come at Night' from Australia, Rohan Parashuram Kanawade's 'Sabar Bonda', and Tannishtha Chatterjee's 'Full Plate'.

DIFF directors Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam emphasize the organic growth of the festival over 14 years, driven by filmmaker passion and audience trust. It maintains a non-competitive, dialogue-focused format. This year, the festival will also host a masterclass by Kiran Rao and feature screenings facilitated by inflatable digital theatres, enhancing accessibility.
