Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has unveiled plans to incorporate the Telugu film industry as a key chapter in the state's 'Telangana Rising 2047' vision, aspiring to position Hyderabad as a global cinematic hub.
Reddy emphasized the government's intent to attract Hollywood productions to Hyderabad, proposing various incentives and facilities for the film sector. The state will prioritize the industry alongside IT and pharma, underscoring its commitment with a Rs 10 crore contribution to the Film Workers Welfare Fund and the establishment of a corporate-standard school for workers' children.
Additionally, the government plans to provide free medical services to film workers under the 'Arogyasri' scheme. Financial support for infrastructure such as the 'Karmika Sanghala Association Bhavan' and a Film Fighters Training Centre will further fortify the city's appeal as a film industry destination.
