Assam Congress President Gaurav Gogoi has raised questions about the ongoing investigation into the death of renowned singer Zubeen Garg, stating that the actual cause of his death remains unknown more than 40 days after the incident.

Criticizing the BJP-led government, Gogoi, who serves as the Deputy Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha, accused people of being disillusioned with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, amid rising corruption and alleged wealth accumulation by his close associates.

Gogoi asserts that instead of misdirecting attention, the government should prioritize justice for Garg. He expressed concerns over the potential misuse of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and emphasized the need to uncover the truth behind Garg's death.
