Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh announced on Tuesday that a hub-and-spoke model is being considered to enhance the export capabilities of Indian crafts. The initiative aims to capture the growing global market for handcrafted products.

Inaugurating the 'Special Handloom & Handicraft Exhibition cum Sale' at the India International Trade Fair (IITF), Singh emphasized that the trade fair provides significant economic opportunities for artisans, potentially transforming their livelihoods.

He highlighted the increasing international demand for handcrafted items, noting that the 15-day trade fair would serve as a catalyst for artisans to reach global markets. "We are considering a new hub-and-spoke model to take our artisans' craftsmanship global," Singh stated.
