Mars Names Martian Craters After Pioneering Indian Figures and Places from Kerala

The International Astronomical Union (IAU), an organization dedicated to promoting and safeguarding astronomy, announced the naming of Martian features after significant Indian figures and places from Kerala.

A 3.5-billion-year-old crater on Mars will be named in honor of pioneering geologist M S Krishnan. This acknowledgment marks his invaluable contributions to geological studies.
