The Himachal Pradesh government has initiated a significant financial commitment of Rs 460 crore for the expansion of Kangra Airport, announced Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. This strategic move is aimed at bolstering land value and dramatically increasing tourist influx, potentially transforming the region into a bustling hub.
During the 'Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar' program at Gram Panchayat Tangroti, within the Dharamshala Assembly constituency, Sukhu engaged with residents to understand their concerns. As part of efforts to develop Kangra into the tourism capital of Himachal Pradesh, the government is implementing several ongoing projects in the area.
Emphasizing the rural economy, where over 90% of the population resides, Sukhu announced an increase in the MSP of cow and buffalo milk to Rs 51 and Rs 61 per litre, respectively. He also declared funding for local women's groups and infrastructure projects, while addressing political dynamics around the BJP's recent electoral success.
