In response to a tragic apartment fire in Hong Kong that claimed at least 128 lives, K-pop stars such as aespa and Stray Kids have announced considerable donations. Aespa pledged 500,000 Hong Kong dollars, while Stray Kids committed 1 million Hong Kong dollars, channeling their contributions through charitable organizations like World Vision Hong Kong.

South Korea's prominent entertainment firms, SM and JYP Entertainment, have jointly donated 3 million Hong Kong dollars for relief efforts. Other K-pop groups like Riize and EXO-CBX have also made significant contributions. These efforts underscore the widespread support from the K-pop community amidst the devastating incident.

The MAMA AWARDS, scheduled in Hong Kong, have drawn criticism for not cancelling the event. However, in a gesture of solidarity, organisers have added a 'Support Hong Kong' message and planned a moment of mourning during the ceremony. They also pledged a donation of 20 million Hong Kong dollars to the government-established support fund.
