In an appeal to preserve cultural heritage, Senior Tipra Motha Party leader Rajeshwar Debbarma has called upon Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha to ensure the upkeep of the royal cremation ground located in Agartala.

The site, significant for the Manikya dynasty that ruled Tripura, has fallen into disrepair, revealing strewn garbage and neglect. Debbarma made the appeal during the death anniversary observance of Maharaja Kirit Bikram Kishore Manikya DebBarman, expressing dismay over the site's condition.

Highlighting the site's historical value, Debbarma urged for its recognition as a protected heritage site and emphasized the importance of restoring its legacy to educate future generations.
