In a dramatic appeal, Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi has urged External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to address potential ties between his ministry and a suspect in the case of singer Zubeen Garg's death.

Gogoi also pressed for a statement from Jaishankar regarding Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's assertion that Garg's death in Singapore was murder.

The case has led to the arrest of seven individuals, including Shyamkanu Mahanta, chief organiser of the North East India Festival where Garg was set to perform.
