In a gesture of gratitude, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, alongside her Cabinet ministers, embarked on a journey to Amritsar on Monday. Their mission: to offer 'shukrana' at the revered Golden Temple following a triumphant celebration of Guru Tegh Bahadur's 350th martyrdom anniversary at the Red Fort.
The Chief Minister was joined by ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Kapil Mishra, Ravindra Indraj, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, according to officials. The 'Gurmat Samagam' event's 'extraordinary success' was attributed to the 'grace of Guru Sahib', despite challenges posed by a terror incident just days leading up to the event in November.
Over 6 lakh devotees participated in the religious gathering without disruption. Following their visit to the Golden Temple, Gupta and the ministers plan to pay respects at Durgiana Temple and Valmiki Tirath in Amritsar, officials disclosed.
