Malayalam actor Dileep emerged victorious on Monday after a local court acquitted him in a high-profile sexual assault case dating back to 2017. The actor accused certain police officials and media figures of orchestrating a conspiracy to implicate him and damage his career and social standing.
Following the acquittal, Dileep pointed fingers at his ex-wife, Manju Warrier, alleging her statements about a supposed criminal conspiracy triggered the accusations against him. He also accused a senior woman police officer and her team of fostering a false narrative against him, with the aid of the primary accused.
Even as Dileep was cleared of charges, the court found six others guilty, including the main perpetrator Sunil N S, known as Pulsar Suni. A completion of a complex legal battle now sets the stage for potential further investigation into the alleged conspiracy.
