According to TDB, 30,000 devotees will be given access to darshan on December 26 and 35,000 on December 27. Additionally, spot booking will accommodate 5,000 devotees daily, ensuring a controlled and organized experience.
The Mandala-Makaravilakku season, which started on November 16, traditionally draws over 70,000 daily visitors to the sacred hill shrine. The Kerala High Court has mandated TDB to enforce strict crowd control measures, including limiting spot bookings in response to pilgrim rush.
