The Last Ship Season 5 had its finale on November 11, 2018 leaving many wondered if Season 6 has a possibility. Unfortunately, the show was not renewed for another season and cancelled.

The Last Ship Season 5 will mark the end of action-drama television series based on the 1988 novel of the same name by William Brinkley – this was already declared by the series’ original network TNT in May last year. Kevin Reilly, President of TBS and TNT also confirmed the news. Cinema Blend later analysed that the diminishing ratings were one of the main reasons for its cancellation.

Hearing that The Last Ship Season 5 would mark the end of series, many fans expressed extreme unhappiness on social media and sent request for its renewal, but no positive action in favour of their urges was taken. For those who still dream for Season 6, we would like to notify them that there is no possibility now. However, there are some series, for example, Prison Break, which was renewed for Season 5 after eight years and everyone almost lost all hopes. From that perspective, anything can happen in future.

The DVD and Blu-ray are expected to be out on March 12 with all the ten episodes and bonus content.
