The Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, led by CEO Sachin Kumar Vaishya, is ramping up security measures ahead of Republic Day celebrations at Katra. During a meeting at the Spiritual Growth Centre, security and logistical arrangements were reviewed, with multi-tier strategies put in place for effective crowd management.
Coordination with the Reasi district administration, police, and CRPF is central to ensuring safety. Comprehensive measures include deploying quick response teams and establishing a layered security grid involving multiple agencies. Strict protocols involving RFID verification and frisking ensure only registered pilgrims and authorized service providers will access the main yatra track.
The main Republic Day event will occur at the Vaishno Devi sports complex, featuring a flag-hoisting ceremony and a ceremonial march past. The Shrine Board is also focusing on infrastructure, equipping the Integrated Command and Control Centre for real-time monitoring of the yatra, to maintain safety and streamline processes.
