The second edition of the Vinitaly India Roadshow has commenced at the Taj Palace in Delhi, featuring over 30 Italian wineries. The event, organized by Veronafiere in association with the Italian Trade Agency, aims to stimulate India's Italian wine market interest.
The Delhi leg of the roadshow attracted more than 200 importers, distributors, and hospitality professionals. The gathering seeks to nurture relationships and recruit participants for the upcoming Vinitaly event in Verona. Adolfo Rebughini of Veronafiere emphasized the importance of such initiatives to build enduring commercial ties and value transfer.
Beyond promoting commerce, the roadshow is dedicated to cultivating an Italian wine culture through training and education, along with promoting wine tourism. Valued at USD 415 million, Indian wine consumption is anticipated to exceed USD 520 million by 2028. The event included B2B meetings and masterclasses, with the roadshow now set to move to Goa.
