Vibrant Spectacle: Goa Carnival Unfolds with Festive Flair

The eagerly anticipated Goa Carnival, the coastal state's hallmark street festival, commenced on Saturday in Panaji with the vibrant parade led by the symbolic 'King Momo'.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the four-day extravaganza on D B Bandodkar Road along the scenic Mandovi River. Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte and Panaji Mayor Rohit Monserratte were among the dignitaries present.
A senior official noted that this year's parade showcased over 30 floats, crafted by the Goa Tourism Department, adding a distinct traditional flavor. The parade, which started near the Old Secretariat and concluded near Kala Academy, was aimed at uniting the community and promoting road safety awareness.
