Jharkhand's Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, actively engaged in Mahashivratri festivities on Sunday, joining thousands of devotees at Ranchi's renowned Pahari temple. Soren led a religious procession and performed prayers at the historic site.
The Pahari temple, perched atop a hill on Ranchi's Ratu Road, saw an influx of worshippers as they climbed the 468 steps to pay homage to 'Pahadi Baba' in the form of a Shiva Linga. 'May Lord Bholenath fulfill everyone's wishes,' Soren expressed in a social media post celebrating the occasion.
Notably, BJP MLA C P Singh attended the event, and additional police forces were deployed to ensure safety as the procession progressed. Across Jharkhand, devotees gathered at prominent Shiva temples, including Baba Baidyanath Dham and Basukinath temple, where significant processions also occurred in Deoghar, featuring a notable tableau on cybercrime.
