Veteran lyricist and Central Board of Film Certification Chairperson Prasoon Joshi attended the AI Summit in Delhi on Monday, where he delved into the profound implications of artificial intelligence on society. Speaking to ANI, Joshi emphasized that AI stands apart from previous technologies with its potential to fundamentally alter human thought and innovation.

'This is not like any other technology,' Joshi stated, highlighting the transformative nature of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). He remarked that while predicting the trajectory of traditional technologies, such as the steam engine, was possible, AGI challenges these conventions by impacting the core processes of human thinking and innovation.

The AI Impact Summit, which began on Monday in New Delhi, draws global figures including French President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Lula da Silva, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Running from February 16 to 20, the event marks the Global South's first international AI summit, showcasing India's ambitious vision for a responsible, inclusive AI future.
