YRF Clarifies: Aneet Padda Not Cast as Madhubala in Upcoming Film

Recent reports claimed Aneet Padda was cast as cinema icon Madhubala in a new film, which a YRF Talent spokesperson called 'untrue.' The biopic was announced by Sony Pictures in collaboration with Madhubala Ventures and is not starring Padda. Padda leads another film, 'Shakti Shalini,' part of the MHCU.

The buzz surrounding Aneet Padda's alleged casting as Madhubala in an upcoming biographical film was dismissed by YRF Talent. Reports had claimed that Padda, known for her breakout role in a 2025 romance blockbuster by YRF, would take on the role of the legendary Indian cinema icon.

However, a spokesperson from YRF Talent, which manages Padda, clarified that these claims are unfounded. The project about Madhubala was initially announced in March 2024 by Sony Pictures International Productions, in collaboration with Brewing Thoughts Pvt Ltd and Madhubala Ventures, the latter led by Madhubala's sister, Madhur Brij Bhushan.

Meanwhile, Aneet Padda is gearing up for her next major role in 'Shakti Shalini,' part of producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. This eagerly awaited film is set to hit theaters on December 24.
