The Institute of Engineering & Management and the University of Engineering & Management in Kolkata inaugurated the 12th Innovación 2026, spotlighting their international techno-management festival. This year's event, held from March 14-15, brought together students, researchers, and entrepreneurs from across the globe, focusing on innovation and technology-driven solutions.

Noteworthy projects include a Level-2 autonomous driverless car developed by IEM students and a water desalination system designed to address global water scarcity challenges. The innovation festival also features a 36-hour hackathon aimed at converting ideas into practical solutions with entrepreneurial potential.

In addition to technical exhibits, the event hosted competitions in robotics, coding, and management, establishing an interdisciplinary arena that intertwines engineering with business strategy. Innovación continues to grow, emphasizing the startup ecosystem nurtured by IEM-UEM, and inspiring the future generation of technological leaders.
