On Friday, actor Asif Ali stated his potential involvement in the election campaign for Congress candidate Ramesh Pisharody in Palakkad, contingent upon receiving an invitation. Addressing the press after attending Eidgah in Kochi, Ali emphasized his candidate-centric rather than party-centric approach, applying this mindset to Pisharody as well.

Ali commented on supporting candidates based on their capabilities to serve effectively, acknowledging Pisharody's well-recognized abilities. He underscored that his potential support wouldn't be influenced by Pisharody's acting career, reiterating his commitment not to urge people to vote based on the film industry association.

Despite his family's political history, Ali reaffirmed his lack of interest in a political career, prioritizing his work in film. Concurrently, Pisharody is actively campaigning in Palakkad, sharing supportive moments, including a Facebook post with actor Mohanlal, as he prepares to contest against BJP's Sobha Surendran and independent candidate N M R Rasak.
