Cannes award-winning director Nicolas Winding Refn is set to mark his return to the big screen with the upcoming release of 'Her Private Hell' on July 24. As reported by Deadline, the film will first make its debut at the Cannes Film Festival before enjoying a moderate release across 800 to 1,200 theaters.

Starring Sophie Thatcher, Charles Melton, Dougray Scott, Diego Calva, and Kristine Froseth in leading roles, 'Her Private Hell' unfolds within a futuristic metropolis. The narrative centers around actresses who convene at a luxurious hotel to participate in a movie reminiscent of 'Barbarella', while a menacing killer, known as Leather Man, prowls the city targeting women.

Nicolas Winding Refn's cinematic repertoire is impressive, featuring works like 'Neon Demon', which was showcased at Cannes in 2016, and acclaimed series like Prime Video's 'Too Old to Die Young' and Netflix's 'Copenhagen Cowboy'. He reached a high point in his career with 'Drive', which earned him the Best Director award at Cannes in 2011 after receiving a prolonged standing ovation at its world premiere.
