Sonu Sood Calls for Stricter Safety Measures After Jabalpur Boat Tragedy
Actor Sonu Sood emphasizes the need for strict safety measures following the tragic Jabalpur boat accident. He advocates for mandatory life jackets and a government portal for tourist cruises, stressing that only accountability can prevent such incidents. The accident resulted in 13 fatalities.
In the aftermath of the tragic boat accident in Jabalpur, actor Sonu Sood has called for stricter safety regulations to prevent future incidents. On April 30, a tourist cruise boat capsized in the Bargi Dam reservoir, claiming 13 lives.
Sood took to social media to insist on mandatory life jackets for every passenger on tour boats. He further suggested the creation of a government portal where tour operators must upload time-stamped proof of life jackets before departure. ``It's time for stringent accountability,'' Sood argued.
Rescue efforts were undertaken by multiple agencies, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and the Army, saving 28 passengers from the ill-fated cruise.
