The award ceremony will take place on August 14 at the festival's iconic Piazza Grande, which can accommodate approximately 8,000 attendees. As part of this honor, Aronofsky will showcase two of his acclaimed films, 'The Fountain' and 'Mother!', and engage in a public conversation on stage.

Aronofsky's notable cinematic influence has been acknowledged by the festival, highlighting his diverse and impactful body of work, which includes notable films such as 'Pi,' 'Requiem for a Dream,' 'The Wrestler,' 'Black Swan,' 'Noah,' and 'The Whale.' The festival's statement, as reported by Variety, commended Aronofsky for crafting films that challenge traditional genre boundaries and delve deeply into themes of faith, desire, and obsession.
