'Raja Shivaji' Should be Tax-Free, Says Shiv Sena Leader
Shiv Sena leader Ambadas Danve has urged Maharashtra's Chief Minister to make the film 'Raja Shivaji' tax-free to increase accessibility. The film, highlighting the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, aims to inspire the public by showcasing the Maratha empire's legacy, and is directed by Riteish Deshmukh.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve has called for the new movie 'Raja Shivaji' to be exempt from taxes in Maharashtra. He argues that this move would broaden its audience reach.
The film, currently playing in theaters, is co-written and directed by actor Riteish Deshmukh and focuses on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha empire. Danve believes that reducing ticket prices through a tax exemption would allow more people to experience the inspirational story of the famed warrior-king.
Having recently been elected unopposed as an MLC, Danve believes the film underscores the significance of Shivaji Maharaj's contributions, showcasing his administrative prowess and guerrilla warfare tactics, making it a compelling educational resource for the new generation.
