His visit also included cultural acknowledgments, as he paid tribute at the Baba and Mai monument and the Mahatma Gandhi statue, underlining India's historical ties with Suriname. This visit is part of a broader diplomatic tour that includes Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
