Yo Yo Honey Singh Denies Singing Controversial 2006 Track Amid Legal Battle

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, before the Delhi High Court, claimed he did not sing the controversial and vulgar track 'Vol. 1' from 2006. The court is reviewing a petition seeking removal of the song, allegedly released by Singh and Badshah. Singh disputes singing at a Delhi event and affirms his non-involvement.

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh appeared before the Delhi High Court on Thursday, contesting claims that he sang a controversial 2006 track titled 'Vol. 1', alleged to have been released by him and Badshah through their collaboration 'Mafia Mundeer'.

Saying this is an opportunity to clear his name, Singh's counsel emphasized his non-involvement in the song and willingness to assist the court in its removal from online platforms. Another related legal proceeding is ongoing in Nagpur.

The petition by Hindu Shakti Dal accuses the track of containing vulgar and derogatory content towards women, urging its removal from platforms like YouTube and Spotify, and demanding public apologies from the involved artists.
