The eagerly anticipated second season of 'Ahsoka' now has a release window. At Disney's recent upfront presentation, Rosario Dawson revealed that fans can expect the new season of the beloved Star Wars series in early 2027, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

During the announcement, Dawson showcased a behind-the-scenes reel, giving fans an exclusive look into the making of the upcoming season. The first season of 'Ahsoka', which premiered in August 2023, garnered a strong viewership on Disney+ and frequently appeared in Nielsen's top 10 original streaming series.

The Hollywood Reporter states that production for the second season commenced in early 2024, though Lucasfilm later experienced a slowdown in its live-action Star Wars projects. In the past 18 months, only 'Skeleton Crew' and 'Andor's' final season have debuted as live-action series. The upcoming season is set to welcome back Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker and introduce Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll, following the passing of actor Ray Stevenson. Returning and new cast members will once again come under the stewardship of executive producers like Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau.
