A site steeped in history, Sadhana Pass, also known as Nastachun Pass, now features a cutting-edge checkpost and a war museum, both inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha. This endeavor marks a multifaceted strategy to honor the valor of soldiers while boosting regional tourism.
Positioned at an elevation of 10,269 feet, the state-of-the-art facilities not only honor military legacy but also serve to combat drug trafficking. The Integrated Transit Facility acts as a checkpoint against the illegal drug trade, while the Shaurya Gatha Museum captures tales of courage from past conflicts, including the three wars between India and Pakistan fought in the region.
At the inauguration, Sinha emphasized bridging the emotional gap between civilians and soldiers, encouraging tourists to visit the historic location. He also praised the military for their dual duty of border defense and anti-drug efforts, while calling for tighter law enforcement. Local cultural heritage is further preserved through the Pahari Cultural Centre. This ambitious project was completed swiftly, signifying India's commitment to honoring its heroes.
