In a move aligned with the Fit India Movement, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu announced that entry fees at select parks and heritage sites across the national capital will be waived until 10 am. The decision aims to promote fitness and encourage outdoor activities, officials stated on Thursday.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has implemented this fee waiver at several key locations, including the Mehrauli Archaeological Park and Smriti Van, along with other prominent green spaces. The initiative is intended to support morning walkers, joggers, and fitness enthusiasts.

According to the DDA, they oversee more than 16,000 acres of green assets in Delhi. These areas are crucial for maintaining ecological balance and promoting community wellness, while ensuring accessible nature experiences for all residents.
