Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh attracted attention on Tuesday as he visited the revered Chamundeshwari temple in Karnataka to offer prayers. This visit was a directive from the Karnataka High Court following allegations against Singh in the Kantara mimicry case.

The incident stems from remarks purportedly made by Singh during a Filmfare Awards event in Goa. The actor was accused of imitating a deity known as Daiva, referring to it as a 'devil'. A complaint from a lawyer, citing hurt religious sentiments, led to legal proceedings.

Earlier, the High Court dismissed the proceedings against Singh after he issued an unconditional apology and a revised affidavit. The court's directive required him to visit the Chamundi deity as an act of contrition, marking a culmination of the controversy.
