Mohan Yadav revealed that during Simhastha 2028, devotees will have the opportunity to bathe in the Kshipra River, a tradition that had been interrupted for decades. Historically, the holy dips were performed using diverted water from other sources.
The government plans to implement clean water facilities extending over a 30 km stretch along the Kshipra Ghats. Yadav emphasized efforts to make Simhastha 2028 memorable, claiming it will set new benchmarks for the event. He acknowledged support from local seers and the community.
Yadav also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's influence on heritage conservation linked with modern development. Recent court rulings, like the Madhya Pradesh High Court's decision to declare Bhojshala a Hindu temple, reflect this, according to Yadav.
The chief minister highlighted environmental initiatives like the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, aimed at conserving water bodies, positioning Madhya Pradesh as a frontrunner in river-linking efforts.
