Bollywood Bids Farewell to Iconic Producer Pahlaj Nihalani

Bollywood is mourning the loss of veteran film producer Pahlaj Nihalani, who passed away at the age of 76. Nihalani, a towering figure in the Hindi film industry, was known for backing major hits like 'Aankhen'. His illustrious career also included a tenure as chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Director Anees Bazmee, a close associate, described Nihalani's death as a personal loss. In a statement to ANI, Bazmee reflected on their enduring partnership and praised Nihalani's kind-hearted and generous nature. "This is very sad news. We have worked together for a long time and were very close to each other," he remarked.
Nihalani's career began in the early 1980s with the production of 'Haathkadi'. Over the decades, he produced numerous successful ventures including 'Ilzaam', 'Shola Aur Shabnam', 'Aankhen' and 'Andaz'. In his later years, he produced the film 'Julie 2' in 2017. His family released a statement confirming the news and announced that the cremation would be held at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium.
