Jessica Jones Season 3 to resurrect Kilgrave, Returning cast, series theme revealed

Jessica Jones Season 3 was confirmed by Netflix in April 2018 and it was said that the upcoming season would consist of 13 episodes. The show has received huge positive acclamation because it is mainly based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Here we’ve some latest updates on the third season of Jessica Jones.

Jessica Jones Season 3 is going to call an end to the Melissa Rosenberg-created web television psychological thriller series. Yes, this might make you feel gloomy but the good news is that third instalment is going to be an action-packed entry simply because the showrunners want it to have a memorable ending.

Last February, Netflix cancelled Jessica Jones along with other Marvel series like Iron Fist, The Punisher, Daredevil and Luke Cage. The majority of fans and followers believe that Netflix’s decision to cancel the series is based on dwindling numbers of the viewers, as reported by ScreenRant.

Gilmore Girl actress Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones in Season 3. The 37-year old Breaking Bad’s gorgeous star will also direct an episode for Season 3. While Season 2 ended on an intense note with the killing of Jessica’s mother Alisa Jones (Janet McTeer), the upcoming season is expected to have full of mysteries. In that season, we will be seeing Jessica trying to get her life back again.

According to TV Season & Spoilers, the tales encircling Jessica’s past were mainly featured in the previous two seasons with the portrayal of her isolation and retreat. Now, since the protagonist has learnt plenty of things since the beginning, she is likely to become a bit of hero herself, as revealed by Krysten Ritter who plays the protagonist’s role. The upcoming season will show her life moving in a positive direction. ‘Vengeance’ will be the theme of next season.

Here’re the names of those actors who will be seen in Jessica Jones Season 3 apart from Krysten. Rachel Taylor, Eka Darville and Carrie-Anne Moss will be seen playing the role of Patrica Walker aka Trish, Malcolm Ducasse and Jeri Hogarth respectively. Fans even want to see is David Tennant’s Kilgrave. He was an attractive character from Jessica’s past who could control minds. His surprising appearance was a shock in Season 2. Since Melissa Rosenberg has tweeted ‘Not quiet yet!’ to fans’ mourning for his loss, we expect to see Kilgrave once again in Season 3.

Jessica Jones Season 3 doesn’t have a confirmed release date but various speculations say that it may have its premiere around mid or late 2019.
