Soybean prices strengthened by Rs 18 to Rs 3,332 per quintal in futures trade today as investors indulged in expanding exposure, spurred by upbeat overseas cues.
Marketmen said raising of bets by participants, tracking positive overseas leads, largely resulted in uptick in soybean futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for delivery in November improved by Rs 18, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 3,332 per quintal, with an open interest of 31,610 lots.
Also, the October delivery went up by Rs 15, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 3,332 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 52,250 lots.
